Body Positivity; Female, You are Beautiful

When a female is called beautiful, she loves it, it makes her day. It rings in her head through the day.

Well, what happens when a lady is called sexy?

For modest ladies, they are turned off by such comments, they reflect on their dressing to identify what warranted such comment. They do not see it as a compliment. While for the ‘street girls’ they see it as a turn on to engage in some sexual activity.

This is proof that it is wise to compliment a lady with the former, beautiful.

The strive to be appreciated by the world and appear beautiful has lead to an economic boom in the plastic surgeon’s finance. From breast augmentation to rhinoplasty, liposuction, taking botox injection etc, maintaining the trends of beauty is expensive.

Ladies who engage in such act, hide under the canopies of doing what pleases them. Why hide under this cover when deep in you there is the complex need to feel accepted. This does not undermine the fact that these surgeries have their advantages in boosting one’s self confidence at an advert of health issues or body deformity.

In a world inundated with unrealistic beauty standards and societal pressures, promoting body positivity and self-acceptance has become crucial for women’s mental and emotional well-being. Embracing and loving one’s body is a transformative journey that empowers women to break free from harmful comparisons and embrace their unique beauty. In this article, we delve into the importance of body positivity, explore the impact of societal influences on body image, and provide practical tips to help women cultivate self-acceptance and love their bodies.

The social media has not helped matters as the virality of a health damaging procedures are painted as the standard of beauty.

I can only wonder what kind of aged persons the world will have as its habitants in the next 60 – 70 years.

Clash in cultural standards of beauty leaves ladies more perplexed as to what really defines beauty.

Well, in as much as I do not appreciate a lady who care less about her body’s wellness or health, I would define beauty in just one word as ‘YOU’. You are beauty, you are beautiful. Beauty is you.

You are beautiful the way you are.

There us no one perfect shape a woman must fit it to buy one thing is such, take good care of your skin with healthy products, go to the gym, embrace yourself for who you and develop that best version  of you.

Never be too obsessed with your looks, shape or qualities…just make sure you take good care of that body of yours.

Simple!

Being obsessive over your looks can make you act without thinking of its repercussions.

Nurturing Self-Acceptance:

   a. Practicing self-compassion: Cultivating a kind and gentle attitude towards oneself, focusing on self-care and positive affirmations.

   b. Unlearning negative beliefs: Identifying and challenging negative self-talk and internalized body shaming.

   c. Surrounding oneself with positive influences: Building a supportive network that uplifts and encourages body positivity.

Promoting Healthy Body Image:

   a. Developing a holistic approach to well-being: Focusing on health rather than appearance, emphasizing self-care and self-love.

   b. Engaging in joyful movement: Encouraging physical activities that bring joy, focusing on the benefits of movement beyond weight loss.

   c. Redefining beauty: Embracing individuality, appreciating inner qualities, and shifting the focus from external validation to self-approval.

5. Building a Body-Positive Community:

   a. Celebrating body diversity: Encouraging dialogue that normalizes and appreciates various body types, encouraging inclusivity and acceptance.

   b. Sharing personal stories: Encouraging women to speak openly about their body image journeys, fostering connection and empowerment.

   c. Advocating for change: Supporting organizations and initiatives that challenge beauty standards and promote body positivity.

Embracing body positivity and cultivating self-acceptance is a powerful act of self-love for women. By challenging societal beauty norms, nurturing self-compassion, and promoting a healthy body image, we can create a world where women feel empowered, confident, and liberated from the pressures of unrealistic standards.   1. People don’t know wearing confidence will bring out their beauties. That thing they call flaw is meant to be flaunted cos it’s their identity which is meant to be accepted.
