Rant Of The Day – Claiming To Know Too Much

By Grace Shaibu

Hello Readers,

Welcome to the rant column.

You may have encountered some peeps who just dabble into anything they hear, whether they are invited to speak on an issue or not, they bring their uncultured self into the discussion. It’s good to engage in a conversation and help out with ideas but don’t INTERFERE when you aren’t invited to do so. This act can be really annoying. Some people just feel like making their opinions known whether they are ‘legitimately’ called to do so or not, I feel it is the beginning of subtle madness. If you are asked to speak, speak! say the main point and hold your peace.

angry face

Do not go interfering in every conversation, speaking uninvitedly and trying to air your unwelcomed views anyway. I used to know someone who was like this and practically got the most bashing moment when he was insulted for interfering in what was absolutely none of his business. When they say, Mind your business, it is a warning against disaster and when you do not mind it, Disaster comes looming and if found wanting, It grabs the entirety of such a Busy Body!

I think people like this just try to open their mouths to validate their self confidence level and unfortunately, it makes them stupid with no confidence at all.
