Barnabas first name is Joses meaning God add more. One of the achievements Barnabas had was that he sold his land and gave his money to the Apostles, Peter now baptized him, and because he consoled the church, he was given son of consolation. When Barnabas brought his gift to the Apostles, there was a turn around for the church. Barnabas did ministry with Paul, and it was profitable to the kingdom of God. If Barnabas did not agree to work with Paul, the ministry of Paul would have been swallowed up. No one wanted to have anything to do with paul, because of what the Apostles suffered in his hands. Barnabas saw destiny in Paul but Peter didn’t see it, Barnabas never saw Jesus but he carried Paul that carried Jesus. No one wanted to associate with paul but Barnabas brought him to the Apostles. If they give you physical reward for spiritual things, they have given you failure, when the things of the spirit did not produce. Spiritual things always births reward, it takes a man with a voice to announce you, don’t use physical understanding to judge spiritual things. Paul could not talk because he was rejected, the worst thing that can happen to a man of God is to be rejected. There is a place of revelation and there is a place for experience.

Barnabas was a man full of the Holyspirit and faith, because of Barnabas much people were added to the church. Barnabas was sent to Antioch to find Paul, they almost killed the gift of God in Paul but Barnabas took him and told them Paul was genuinely from God. Great people become what God wants them to be when they are in the  right place. Barnabas was set apart by the HolySpirit to minister with Paul. Barnabas refused to receive worship from men when they thought they were gods. Never receive glory from any man to yourself, that is, don’t let any man become God in your life. Barnabas disputed with Paul over John Mark on a missionary journey and separated form Paul because of his decision.

Barnabas was with Peter in support of dealings with the uncircumcised gentiles and was rebuked by Paul. God will accept you not because of what you are but because of what He has done for you. Barnabas was a prophet, a teacher and an apostle. Barnabas was mentioned in three epistles written by Paul, which are Corinthians, Galatians and Acts. You don’t have to scrutinize people before you trust them, just trust people like a child. Don’t let anyone recognize you, until God recognizes you.

Trust is a gift, you won’t give it, if you don’t have it. Barnabas trusted Paul when he told him that he has met with Jesus on his way to Damascus, and that was why he was able to convince the other Apostles to accept him.
