The Super Eagles of Nigeria wrapped up their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign with a dominant 4–0 win over Benin Republic on Tuesday in Uyo.
Victor Osimhen opened the scoring in the third minute and doubled the lead just before half-time. The Galatasaray striker completed his hat-trick in the second half, while Frank Onyeka added a late fourth goal.
Despite the emphatic victory, Nigeria finished second in Group C, behind South Africa, who defeated Rwanda 3–0 to claim the automatic qualification spot.
The Super Eagles will now wait to see if they qualify as one of the four best runners-up from the African zone.
