The only condition for you to be saved is to call on the name of the Lord; we all have equal rights to call on His name. Prayer is for everyone; do not treat it with levity. Prayer should not be treated like a spare part but as the steering that directs your wheel; it is the very wheel that drives your life.
Don’t let anyone tell you that God cannot save you, because He does not need a third party to save you. He saves to the uttermost. No protocol or policy can make God stranded. If God has made a promise, hold on to it. When a man fails, God will always provide an alternative to save him, if only he will call on Him.
The fact that you are experiencing delay or turmoil does not mean God is not with you. It is your legal right to call on the name of the Lord. But there is also a place of maturity in exercising that right. Many Christians have forfeited their rights because of immaturity, and the greatest immaturity is a lack of faith.
Lack of faith will stop you from calling on the name of the Lord; it will always make you seek alternatives to God. Lack of faith makes you act “smart” before God, but faith will make you look like a fool in the eyes of men. When you rely on logic, you will struggle to call on the name of the Lord, because logic will hinder you. The foundation and totality of calling on the Lord is faith.
Until you understand the value of prayer, you will not be able to pray accurately and effectively. The reason most people cannot call on the name of the Lord is because they have alternatives to God. God often begins with scarcity, not abundance, so that you can learn to depend on Him and call on His name. You must constantly call upon the name of the Lord.
What Happens When You Call on the Name of the Lord
He leads you to your destined place.
When God establishes you, your source, your continuity, and your finishing all flow from Him.
He establishes you.
No man will be able to stand against you. Never bank on the word of man but on the word of God.
He brings you to a place of rest and safety.
The easiest place to operate from as a believer is the place of rest. Rest means leaving everything in God’s hands. It is a place of spiritual surrender where the Holy Spirit runs your life for you. Rest detaches you from self and helps you relinquish everything. The greatest factor in this rest is faith.
He brings reward and results.
Nothing speaks louder than the evidence of God’s reward. When you call on Him, you will have something tangible to show as proof that you received from Him.
