The Chief Imam of Owo and Chairman of the Ondo State League of Imams and Alfas, Alhaji Ahmad Oladoke Aladesawe, has passed away at the age of 91.

He died on Monday evening at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, and was buried on Tuesday in his hometown according to Islamic rites.

Aladesawe, a respected scholar and community leader, previously served as Secretary General of Imams and Alfas in the South West, Edo, and Delta States.

The National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO) and community leaders have described his passing as a huge loss to the Muslim community and Ondo State at large.
