The Israeli military on Sunday issued evacuation warnings to Iranian civilians living near weapons production facilities in Tehran, as tensions between the two countries escalated into an ongoing exchange of missile attacks.
In a firm statement, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz declared:
“The Israeli military will strike these sites and will continue to peel away the Iranian snake’s skin in Tehran and everywhere — targeting nuclear capabilities and weapons systems.”
The warning, posted in Arabic and Farsi on X (formerly Twitter) by an Israeli military spokesperson, urged Iranians to evacuate all areas surrounding weapons factories and supporting facilities. This is part of what Israel described as its largest military operation against Iran to date.
The strike, which began on Friday, aims to cripple Iran’s ballistic missile infrastructure and halt its alleged nuclear weapons development. This marks a significant escalation in the regional standoff, prompting global concern about the potential for a broader conflict.
This development comes shortly after Argentine President Javier Milei’s visit to Jerusalem, signaling growing international alignment on Middle East tensions. Israeli leadership, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, remains resolute in its stated goals.
The situation remains fluid, and global leaders are watching closely. The international community has called for restraint as both nations stand on the brink of further confrontation.
