The door of envy was opened in the life of Moses. When you see people envy a man, that man is going somewhere. People don’t envy your pain but they envy your gain. They actually challenged the call of Moses. It takes the HolySpirit for you not to envy when someone is growing. You will truncate the promises of God with envy. Envy will not make you progress. God takes note of every envy even the one you show and the ones you don’t show. What Moses used to overcome the door of envy was meekness and faithfulness. The reaction of God towards envy is anger. Don’t counsel a man of God when God has not spoken to you, so that it will not be a snare to you. It is not everybody that is given the opportunity to correct you. You will be a fool to allow everyone correct you. They opened the door of anger to irritate Moses with anger because they were familiar with Moses, and knew him from childhood.

The second door that was opened in the ministry of Moses is rebellion. One of the ways to deal with rebellion is confrontation. Moses first response to rebellion was humility. In every stages of dealing with strife, humility is constant. Rebellion and strife will shift your spiritual position ( Moses was not moved though). Envy will not make you see something good in the life of others, envy will make you speak against the progress and advancement of the people and work of God. Whenever you rebel against the one that God has called, it is equal to rebellion against God. Anywhere you see rebellion in the body of Christ, it creates a gap no matter how little it is.

Every rebellion no matter how serious it is starts with thoughts. Rebellion comes from assumptions. Don’t struggle with the things of God, don’t try to prove anything. Rebellion put people’s ministry at risk. At the back of every rebellion is disrespect, you will start losing respect for the things of God. Moses was humble about it when they rebelled against him, he confronted them.

As a man sent by God, whenever rebellion is raised against you, don’t forget to pray. There is no way you can survive rebellion if you don’t pray. Don’t rebel against the authority that has been constituted, let it not be said that something went wrong in the movement of God because of you.
