Welcome to the rant column. 

I will be ranting about what I have found very common and very annoying too. If it weren’t annoying, I wouldn’t rant about it anyway. So, some peeps have a way of ”crossing the line”.  It is fine to check on people, like people but don’t get too familiarised with them that you feel you should know everything that is happening to them. That is uncalled for. Let me share a story with you.

A certain lady sent  me a message telling me about how her friend, whose boyfriend died in a car crash  and has been so devastated and very depressed. Everyone has been trying to get her around but she hurts so deeply.

Someone who came to sympathise with her kept asking some unnecessary questions, questions like, what happened? were there signs in her body towards the tragedy to happen? Did she have dreams? Bla bla bla and her friend who sent me the message said, she couldn’t take it anymore that she had to tell the woman to leave the house or keep quiet!

Very unimaginable, you will say. Why would you go to see someone in pain and cause more pain? Seriously, I think a lot of people need to learn how to shut up! Please, shut up. You don’t need to ask annoying questions when sympathizing with peeps. Greet them, cry with them, encourage them and leave them alone. If they want to share their stories, let them share and don’t make yourself look publicly stupid!
