Rant Of The Day – I love You On Facebook

By Grace Shaibu

We celebrated Mother’s day in this part of the world on sunday and social media was flooded. There were so many writeups for mothers and pictures of all kinds celebrating mothers on that day. It felt good to be  a mother and acknowledging the fact that motherhood is a forever institution.

Parents have been told to check the privacy settings on photos of their offspring

Though what I don’t understand is why some people will flood people’s timeline.,and then, refuse to call their mothers on that special day? Please who are you deceiving? If the person you are celebrating is still very much alive and can’t see what you are posting, what’s the essence of claiming social media love?

You are supposed to give her a call, and send a message celebrating her instead of making your contacts believe that you such a wonderful child. It’s good to go on social media to profess what you like but it will all be a show if you don’t actively partake in what you are celebrating. So, if all you did was put up a show on social media and you didn’t even call your mum up or send her a message?

Well? I will say, Go and sin no more!
