What is your perception about the world most simple things that presents itself sometimes as difficult? Perhaps, you think you know somethings but all you really know are the myths of these things. Some people for instance, think that when you see a man convulsing, don’t help just walk away or else you will get infected and be like him… That is just a Myth.

In Africa, there are so many myths that we have ingested into our beliefs system which is making us stagnant and far from breaking through the bounds.

The Sickle Cell disease is one of the critical cases we have in Africa which has no ‘breakthrough‘ in sight because of  the myths entangled around it; which is Keeping us back from making a breakthrough in saving the lives involved in this.

Some people will say, No matter what you do to help a ‘Sickler’ the end result is death because they weren’t made to Live long, but do you know that there are thousands of Elderly Sicklers?

There is a dire need to get the right information and that is why The Life To Sickle Initiative was created by Switly’s Signature.

This initiative is set  to raise awareness about the Sickle Cell Disease and to help raise Funds for less privileged Sickle Cell Warriors.

The maiden edition of this event was held on October 3rd, at Surulere,Lagos and it was an exciting showcase of wisdom, knowledge and Help.

  2. Sickle cell disease is a very challenging condition but can be managed properly. Lots of sickle cell patients don’t even have the resources to manage the condition and those with money even exhaust it in the process. But when their is an initiative where assistance is given to help people with this condition, I believe that they can live longer than expected. Switly’s signature, God bless you and all your team mate for this lovely initiative. May God provide the funds and helper to support this beautiful initiative. Let’s support switly’s signature and help save lives of people that might someday become leaders of tomorrow. God bless switly’s signature, God bless abovewhispers.com

  9. Nice initiative…. But as well as we known the causes of this disease and we know it can also be prevented. Please, lets try not to fall victim. Check ur genotype before marriage, at least 3times before u finally wall down alter with ur bride or groom so as to prevent innocent ones from being victims of the sickle cell disease. A final year pharmacy student of unilag just died, 3 weeks to her final exams to become a pharmacist. She’s a warrior, she fought hard, there was money to manage it, but she stil died with all her wonderful potentials. It was a painful exit.
