For the #ItStartsWithMe campaign, DRASA visited seven schools to educate more than 3,000 students on the importance of hand-washing to prevent illness and improve personal health. The schools were Eletu Odibo Senior High School, International School Lagos, St. Saviour’s School, Greensprings School, British International School, Aiyetoro Senior Grammar School and Lagos City Senior College.

DRASA’s Managing Director, Niniola Soleye, said: “When Ebola was in Nigeria, everyone washed their hands. Sanitizer and soap were readily available but now we have all forgotten why that was important. We are embarking on this campaign to remind students how they can stay healthy.”

DRASA was established in memory of Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, the heroine, who correctly diagnosed and contained Nigeria’s first Ebola patient in 2014, preventing a major outbreak in the country.
