The central Cuanza Sul province registered a total of 136 cases of domestic violence in the last six months, less 30 in relation to the same period in 2019, the provincial director of the Department of the Social Action Family and Gender Equality, Maria da Conceição Neto, told ANGOP on Tuesday.
In the meantime, the official pointed the paternity denial, physical violence, moral, psychological and sexual offences, and the lack of service, as being the most frequent in the region.
Sumbe municipality leads the number of cases with 22, followed by the Amboim 19, Libolo 17, Quibala 16, Cela 15, Seles 13, Mussende eight, Ebo equal number, Porto-Amboim, seven, Cassongue and Conda, with four each and Quilenda with three.
According to Maria Neto, the reduction in the cases of violence is related to the intensification of awareness campaigns among families.
