A 23-year-old salesgirl of Eko Electricity Distribution Company, Vera Festus, was yesterday arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for alleged theft of prepaid card worth N226,976.
The defendant is standing trial on a count charge of theft. According to the prosecutor, Sergeant O. Balogun, the defendant sold some prepaid cards worth N226,976 and refused to remit the money, claiming that the money was stolen.
Magistrate Shonuga granted her N200,000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to November 24 for mention.
