Mastering Interview Tips With Stutern

A young thriving firm in Lagos Known as Stutern, whose aim is to breach the gap of umemployment and also help position talents  in the Work space of the economy via workplace education and purposeful internship.
Stutern , which is fast becoming a name amongst undergraduates and graduates in Nigeria held its First Stutern Office Hours event. The event was tailored to teaching undergraduates, recent graduates and job seekers the tips in looking for jobs and different things to watch out for on entering the labour market.
The event which was held at the Elephant House, CMS, Lagos, started out with two sessions; The Workshop and The Panel Interview. It was anchored by an Expert in Human Resource, Mr Gbenga Totoyi whose session was tagged ‘Mastering Interview’

Mr Totoyi’s session was very interactive and engaging as the cogent tips in an interview sphere was broken down. Through the questions of various participants, knowledge was shared appropriately on the Dos and Don’ts of an interview session, How to be smart in answering questions and also the smartest way of constructing your curriculum Vitae as a graduate. Mr Gbenga emphasized the wide array of opportunities amidst the harsh economic reality in the country. However, he conceded that those opportunities can only be harnessed with intellectual rigor and determination.
The second session tagged ‘the Panel Interview’ had the program benefactors sharing their experiences of the internship.

Speaking with one of the founders of the Stutern Group, Kehinde Ayanleye explained why the stutern group is driven with passion to providing greater opportunities for the Nigerian Youths.

Mr Ayanleye said the passion to create the platform together with his twin brother sprang-up during their National Youth Service Corps. According to him, the platform was established to serve a more comprehensive alternative to the skill acquisition programs conducted during the National Youth Service with the advantage of mainstreaming participants into the manufacturing, industrial and Information technology sector of the economy.

Elaborating more on their success story, he informed that the organization is operating with a profit oriented framework and began with a start-up grant of 500 US Dollars in January 2015 which has witness exponential growth within a short time frame.

Speaking with some of the participants, Moyo Okuboyejo, a student of Obafemi Awolowo University said she has learnt how to leave and give a good impression during interviews and  Shehu Awwal, a student of Usman Dan-fodio University Sokoto said, the event was very insightful and hammered on basic and trending things about complete skills.

There would be an Intern Fair coming up in June. So, do not be left out if you want to grow your space.
