Steal from, lie to or turn away from

Is Time

It knows no Kings or Queens

Prince or Pauper

Enemy or Foe

It moves as slow as a snail

It flashes at the speed of light

It simply moves – steady, sure, certain

It does not slow down for anything

It minds its own business

It just gets on with it

Even if time is not my friend, it has not been my enemy

Even if time does not slow down, I have kept dancing to the rhythm

Even as time waits for no one, nothing slows me down

Even as time can be merciless, God Almighty has been merciful

All I have is gratitude

For all the things seen and unseen

For grace and favour

For the dreams fulfilled

For all that is to come

For triumph of laughter over tears

For the victory of meaning over chaos
