A labourer is someone who works with their hands. In biblical terms, a labourer is one who works in the vineyard of the Lord. Uriah was an example of a genuine labourer. What God looks for in vessels is in labourer. The priority of God is harvest not church, services or program. Programs and services has to do with men. Labourers has to do with God, what God employs to bring gain to heaven is labourers. The income heaven is waiting for is more, but the labourers are few. Labourers comes by prayer. The answers to the dilemma of the church today is labourer. For God to gain profit there must be labourer., every labourer is hired. Labourers in greek means toilers. Labourers are known for toiling in the house of God. Labourers are always few.

A labourer will not tie people down. It is only labourers that cares about the souls of men. Jesus spoke extremely about harvest in the bible because harvest is very important. Whatever harvest you are bringing that has nothing to do with eternity should be discarded. To be a genuine labourer you have to go on bended knees before God.

Labourers are men that are sent , they are those that the Lord of the harvest has sent. One of the greatest condition for labouring is that you must be sent. Every labourer sent is as a result of the compassion of the heart of Jesus. God does not send a man because of vacancy in the church but according to the compassion of His heart. Labourers re like sheeps among the wolves. If God has sent you forth, your life is constantly at the risk of wolves. Labourers must not be bothered/distracted about anything, you can’t be toiling and be involving in activities. A labourer does not entangle himself. Labourers are given power by the Lord of the harvest, as a labourer, you are directly working against hell. So, you need power to do that. Labourers are meant to drag prey from the mouth of the devil, so they need to be empowered. 

God gives every labourer power and instruction. The reason for instruction is obedient, labourers are witnesses. What brings result is the obedience to the Lord of the harvest. What drive the work of the harvest is the power of the Lord of the harvest. Harvest has to do with heaven. Labourers are disciples, they are people who have been with Christ and learnt from Christ. They are those Jesus has broken and brood over. If God cannot penetrate you He can’t send you.
