Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has officially disengaged members of his cabinet following the Supreme Court’s nullification of their appointments.
Speaking at a valedictory session in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, as part of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary activities, Fubara thanked the commissioners and public officers for their service over the past two years.
The governor, who was earlier suspended during the State of Emergency imposed on Rivers, pledged renewed commitment to the people and urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu in fostering unity and development.
