President Bola Tinubu has posthumously conferred national honours of the Commander of the Order of the Niger on the late Ogoni Four, Albert Badey, Edward Kobani, Theophilus Orage, and Samuel Orage.

Receiving the Ogoni Consultations Committee report in Abuja, President Tinubu urged Ogoni communities to embrace reconciliation, pledged renewed environmental cleanup, and directed fresh engagement with stakeholders to restart oil exploration in the area.
