The Delta State Government has banned bushy beards, artificial hair, long eyelashes, fake nails, and other forms of “indecent appearance” among civil servants.
A circular from the Head of Service directs all workers to dress in neat, professional, and modest attire, with sanctions for offenders. Male officers must wear suits or shirts with ties, while female staff are restricted to corporate suits or gowns below the knee.
Traditional attire is only permitted on Fridays or special occasions, but must be decent. Heads of departments have been mandated to enforce strict compliance.
