My gist republic! How are you all doing? This week I have been very sober, reflecting and thinking about the fragility of life. This life is indeed nothing. One of my gist senders sent me a picture of a popular media practitioner, young, vivacious, a role model, a woman who’s the sweetheart of many in the industry. She sent me the gist that this young woman died. I didn’t believe it. I felt rumor mongers have come to do their usual stunt so I decided to do the research myself but alas, it was true. She really died. She died due to complications from Sickle Cell Anemia. How come? She’s so full of life and we all loved her. Everybody had something good to say about her personality. She was totally loved by everyone and she lived life to the fullest. I was heart broken, I felt like something hit me to the bones. I felt a little cheated in a way. I don’t understand this one but this has happened and as thought me that life is nothing indeed. Life is indeed nothing. I never thought this would happen, you know sometimes we look at some people and feel nothing can happen to them, nothing can shake them or make them disappear. Life is nothing indeed.

This is an unusual gist and I would like us to think about this for a moment. I would like us to have an epiphany. What are you doing? Are you living your life? Are you living someone else’s life? The late Tosyn was called Contradiction. She went where nobody did, explored deeply and made radio the best life to have. She lived an exemplary life and now she has left us but her deeds speak!

TosYn with the Y. RIP Tosyn Bucknor.

  1. Life is indeed nothing. I still not gotten over the shock of her death. I feel she will wake up or something… It’s so sad. RIP Area Mama.

  2. When I heard too, na rumor I call am and for once in my life I was like, Why can’t it be a rumor? Why? It’s so sad and like you said, it’s a time to be sober. RIP Tosyn Bucknor, we will really miss you.

  3. Ah! That’s what I kept saying when I saw the post. It’s so sad but as usual we are reminded again that we are just ordinary dust, ordinary sojourners on this space.

  4. It’s a sharp reminder that you have to live your best life now and make it count for something! Life is precious Wether it’s a short or long life…make it count!!
Tosyn’s life meant something to many
