Happy Women’s Day.

No mistake there. Although yesterday was the official day for every woman in the world, everyday is women’s day here. Women are defying odds and stereotypes, questioning the system and taking control of their narratives. Black women are at the far end of the disadvantaged side of the spectrum, having to be black and woman at the same time, battling the forces of sexism and racism, which in turn has them working twice as harder than women of other colours to be recognised. Black women although having to scale the constraints of racism and sexism daily, are doing it big in every endeavour. In that spirit we will be looking at the looks of strong black women who came through with the pretty, the style, the confidence and hotness on the Oscars 2018 red carpet.
