Healthy Lifestyle

We all know that dieting alone doesn’t work. Whatever the trendy new diet is, it just won’t work for the long-term unless you’re actually making lifestyle changes that enable you to eat better, get up and move, stop being negotiable with yourself, and cut out the CRAP (carbohydrates, refined sugars, additives, and preservatives) that keeps you weighed down physically and emotionally.

Start with Simple Shifts and a Flexible Program

What you need to succeed in improving your wellbeing is a shift. I view a “shift” as a transformation, but it’s important to keep in mind that shifts can be very small and still be very impactful. Your journey to wellbeing is a personal one, which is why it’s so important to choose a wellbeing program or coach that will work with you rather than force you to adhere to a specific timeline or regiment.

Think of it this way. Not everyone likes the same foods. We all need flexibility in our lives so we don’t feel boxed-in. When you’re trying to make a shift in your lifestyle to lose weight, gain energy, boost your emotional state, and get healthier, a diet or program that makes you feel trapped is not one that you’ll stick with.

That’s why I create meal plans that can be completely customized to each person who want to make a shift. I provide recipes for inspiration, but I also provide the basics, so people can pick and choose what works best for them based on their individual goals. Your wellbeing journey is personal just as your life’s journey is personal!

Get a Support System

Whether I’m coaching clients on a one-on-one basis or supporting them in one of my group programs, one thing always remains the same. They’re not alone on their journeys to emotional and nutritional wellbeing.

I can’t emphasize enough how important that is. Going it alone can work, but going it with one or more supporters with you who provide motivation, accountability, and guidance can make a big difference in your results.

Bridge the Gap Between Emotional and Physical Wellbeing

It’s difficult to fully transform to the healthy lifestyle you want if you can’t bridge the gap between your emotional and physical wellbeing. Every person has to determine the best ways to bridge that gap for herself, but until it’s closed, you’ll never be able to achieve the level of health and happiness that you want.

Emotional and physical wellbeing must coexist amicably, and you can get to that point by making small shifts that add up to big transformations over time.

Get Started

The only way to make a healthy lifestyle change is to prioritize yourself and take the first step to get started—whether that step is working with a health coach, joining a wellbeing program, or something else. The most important thing is that you start to be honest with yourself and start moving forward rather than staying stagnant in that comfortable place that just isn’t working for you anymore.
