She was born in Ohio, March 4, 1997. She was raised by her grandmother and grandfather due to the drug abuse problem her mother had.

Her grandmother has been a constant source of support in her career making sure that she moves beyond depression and limitation.

In 2007 she joined as a level 8 gymnast and started climbing the ladder gradually. she didn’t become the first immediately, through resilence though she joined late she became third in all spots of the competition.

In 2012, after cementing her stand as a junior elite she won the vaults at the American Alamo Classic,the houston national invitational and secret U.S Classic.

These paved way for her at the senior elite level where she became a champion at entry, winning the U.S P&G championships. This landmark made her the First Female African American Athlete to win all gold in all-round

In July 2016, Biles wowed gymnastics fans with an impressive performance, winning the all-around title and first in the floor exercise and vault. She earned a spot on the 2016 Olympic team along with fellow gymnasts Laurie Hernandez, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, and Madison Kocian.
