It is said that a man will leave his Father and mother’s house and cling to his wife. Marriage is the union between the opposite sex coming together to become one. Marriage has to do with determination, dedication, commitment and endurance.
As a couple, you must not leave any gap for failure, there are serious complications in marriage due to what some fathers did to their wives. They didn’t marry their wives, they just took them in, so their daughters won’t marry too. Bride pride was not paid at all, bride price might look so small but it is the beginning of blessings in the marriage. When it is not orderly, it is disorderly.
Married couple must not hide anything from themselves, whatever happens before you get married, let your spouse know. As newly married, don’t allow members of family to live with you for the first ten year into your marriage. So that you can have quality time with your spouse, you both needs to be focused and avoid unnecessary distractions.
Couple should keep themselves bank account. A man should always learn to help the woman cover her weakness and the woman should do same too, don’t expose each other’s weakness. The man should always learn to tell his wife he loves her and also show it.
Rejoice in what the Lord has given you, always remember birthday, wedding anniversary and vice versa. When you raise your hands to beat your wife, you have destroyed your life. As a man, if you want your wife to be great, show her greatness.
You are what you say your wife is, you will always be what your wife is. So be careful what you say to your wife, should you correct her? Yes, but in a good way, correct her in love and not with disdain. Always accept your fault, don’t apportion blame.
A woman must also be a proverb 31 woman. When God blesses a woman with a good man, she will be happy, hardworking and will always shield her husband. She nurtures and takes care of her home, she build her home and not bring it down. As a man, don’t pity to marry a woman, marry because you love her.
A good marriage is founded on Christ, a man and woman in marriage should make sure Christ is the foundation of their marriage and never allow a third party especially family members come between them. If they have any issue in their marriage, they should first take it to God in prayer before they involve their pastor who is not a member of their extended or nuclear family, so as to avoid biased opinion and judgment.
One of the major thing that is causing/bringing inequality in marriage is poverty distribution. If the man’s family sees that a woman’s husband is wealthy, the family will start fighting the woman. Family member should allow a woman enjoy her husband’s money if God has blessed him with wealth.
