Goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams powered Nigeria’s Super Eagles to a 2–0 victory over Algeria in Marrakech, sealing a place in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations and extending their impressive run in the tournament.

Nigeria will now face hosts Morocco, who booked their own semi-final spot on Friday with a commanding 2–0 win over Cameroon in Rabat. Goals from Brahim Díaz and Ismail Saibari secured the Atlas Lions’ passage in front of a packed Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

Elsewhere, Egypt edged defending champions Côte d’Ivoire 3–2 in a thrilling quarter-final clash on Saturday to reach the last four.

In Tangier, Senegal continued their title defence with a narrow 1–0 win over Mali in a tense West African derby. Everton midfielder Iliman Ndiaye scored the decisive goal, while Mali were reduced to ten men after captain Yves Bissouma was sent off in first-half added time.
