Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has signed a ₦128.58 billion supplementary budget and a ₦47.12 billion virement into law for the 2025 fiscal year.
According to the governor, the measure aims to fill funding gaps in key sectors such as security, infrastructure, and economic development, while cushioning the effects of inflation and exchange rate fluctuations on state projects.
The approval raises Taraba’s total 2025 budget to ₦574.8 billion, with capital expenditure accounting for 68.9% and recurrent spending at 31.1%.
The House Committee on Finance and Appropriation urged the government to ensure transparency and prompt fund releases for effective implementation.
