The world has gone on an indefinite pause as all attention is now focused on tackling the Coronavirus pandemic. Schools have long closed down, offices have gone remote and social distancing is being preached on every digital platform.

The big fashion brands are not left out in this fight. Prada announced it will fund two new ICUs in three of Milan’s hospitals: Sacco, San Raffaele, and Vittore Buzzi. LVMH donated $2.2 million to the Red Cross in China and announced that it would use its luxury factories to produce freehand sanitisers for local hospitals in France. Bulgari contributed to the research department at the Istituto Lazzaro Spallanzani in Rome and Chiara Ferragni launched her own online fundraising campaign that has raised more than $4 million for Italian hospitals.

Brands like Versace, Giorgio Armani and Sergio Rossi have also done their part in donating to hospitals thick in the fight against the virus.

As these brands do their part for humanity, we urge that we do ours by staying indoors to halt the spread of the virus.

This is only a phase. We will rise above this.

Stay indoors and keep washing your hands.
