In this seriously saturated competitive world of ours, the hustle to make a name is real, the hustle to make a living is real, the hustle to live an impacting live is real and so we wonder, how do we live a life without unhealthy competition? It is okay to be motivated by people around you, it is okay to be inspired by the works of people but there should be a difference between being inspired and getting agitated over the lives of other people. People are always coming up with posts, inspirational quotes, flaunting the initiatives they are currently working on, how good they feel about themselves but this shouldn’t be a landmark for you to be pushing your life ahead of who you are and what you want to be. There is a reason you are in your current state, you have to know that there will be a time for you to emerge out of that current state and be the person you want to be but the point is, have you answered these questions? Answering them will help you move up the ladder.
What exactly do you intend to do?
Sometimes, we are ruled by what we see that we do not ask ourselves the necessary questions needed to push us to the place of purpose. When you are totally aware of what you really intend doing, it will be safer to be sane and not be carried away by the things around you. I have issues when people who haven’t discovered their purpose, what they really intend to venture in complain about everything. You cannot complain if you haven’t sat down to discover what you want to do but there you are getting unnecessarily spiked by those who show off what they have been doing online or offline. Life is a process and discovery is an important part of life that cannot be overruled. As a person, what do you really want to do? people can inspire you, people can motivate you but your life shouldn’t be a prototype of another person’s dreams. It can be similar, but it can never be the same. When you get to the point of awakening, your mind will be settled, there will be peace within you, you will never be moved by those succeeding, instead you will rejoice and wait your turn.
Accept Your Journey
Everyone has different timelines, our race is different, our motion is different, so to be sane in this ‘hustling’ world you need to accept your journey. Listen, no one is too fast neither is another too slow, the race is different. We see these things as fast and slow just because we have fashioned a time frame for what we intend to achieve which isn’t a bad thing at all but at the same time, you need to be conscious that everyone has their race to run. Your project might not kick off immediately but it doesn’t mean your idea isn’t valid. Your project might not bring in money the way you want it right now, it doesn’t mean your hands aren’t blessed. The time will come, the season will show up but you need to understand that the race is different for each person . Your friend got married immediately and got pregnant and you are not pregnant after 5 years doesn’t mean the universe won’t shine its light on you, doesn’t mean you are infertile, just remember that the race is different and we shine differently.
Support That Queen
They say women are their own enemies, women don’t support one another, babe, it is because we always think that the person who is shining doesn’t deserve to shine. The moment you start feeling that the person on that stage should be you, then you haven’t discovered who you are meant to be and you haven’t come into the discovery of time and space. When a woman is wining, cheer the queen up, be her praise leader you know why? what goes around comes around. You need to praise the reigning queen, support her, stand by her, cheer her on so that when your turn comes, you will enjoy every bit of your victory as a queen. Winning with others makes your victory faster and there are no two ways to show that you are a born queen rather than standing by another queen and being confident that your time will come.
Yes, we want to hustle. Yes, we want to shine. Yes, we want the world to see what we represent but sometimes, the fact that you are on the stage doesn’t mean you are fulfilling purpose. Sometimes, your race is for the background theme, sometimes you are just called to help others fulfill their journey. The race to winning starts from understanding your place of purpose, accepting your journey and lifting others.
