Welcome to the story corner.

There’s been news online about an ace female comedian who bagged her PhD at a renowned university in Nigeria. My people, she is the first comedian to bag that doctorate degree. Who would have such and not celebrate, who would have such and not take to their timeline to share the news. She did, In fact, let me mention her name, Helen Paul did and the reaction  was good. In one of her posts, she celebrated her mother, in fact, she dedicated her doctorate degree to her mother and that’s where she revealed that she was conceived out of rape. Someone raped her mother while she was younger and the product of that incident was HER. She mentioned how people often reminded her of her dented background, how they abused her for being a bastard child but the love of her mother towards her was unwavering and now, she could celebrate all her achievements with her. Guess what? some stupid people on social media started attacking her.

Helen-Paul

You know, I have come to realise that we have a lot of sick people online compared to sane people. A lot of people are just mad on social media and it’s pathetic. One idiot went on the post and commented saying, it makes no difference, PhD or no PhD she is a bastard and will always be one. Thankfully, people stood up and fought the mad man. How dare you? Hater yeah? I don’t think saying they are haters is enough, they are just sick. Very sick in the head!!!

We are proud of this woman and we say congratulations. Anyone who hates it should go and hug transformer. Shalom to Shalom

  1. Yeah she’s such an incredible woman. She was doing her masters in my department when I was in my undergraduate and you wouldn’t expect such determination and tenacity from someone that famous and accomplished. Congratulations to her

  2. This is a success story I love to hear. Sheer resilience and real hard work. Congrats Helen Paul.
