So last week a pretty lady read the style tips for the apple shape article, loved it and requested that I get a little specific. She has been following this column for a while now and does not cease to give feedback. I encourage feedback from readers so the content on here, will be tailored to suit your needs.
So this week, still on the beautiful work of art that is an apple shaped woman’s body, i have a few skirt and trouser rules for apple shaped beauties;
- TROUSERS AND SKIRTS WITH SIDE ZIPPERS
Get trousers and skirts that have zippers at the side to avoid adding extra bumps on the front. Most times because of the tendency for apple shaped queens to gain weight in the middle, a front zipper creates unnecessary folds, emphasizes the weight gain and makes zipping up difficult. A side zip takes all those problems away.
- NO SKINNY TROUSERS
Trousers should be flared or straight and not cling to tummy or thighs. This is to avoid making the thighs look smaller than they are and the tummy looking larger than it really is.
3. HIGH RISE TROUSERS
Pants with a high rise will create a nice silhouette. It creates the illusion of a smaller waist and fuller hips. It takes attention away from your mid region. Get trousers with stretch for extra comfort and a perfect fit.
- SKIRTS WITH PLEATS BELOW THE BELLY
Pleats on skirts starting above or at the belly will only create a larger mid region and will make you look weightier than you are. Make sure all the pleats start below the belly.
