The organisers of the Outstanding Young Achievers Awards (OYA) have called for nominations into various categories for its 2017 edition.
According to the Founder/Executive Director of OYA Awards, Olabode Olawumi, the event which is scheduled to hold in November will celebrate young Nigerian achievers in various fields of endeavours particularly those in social and artistic interests.
With a theme ‘The Trailblazers’, the Founder/Executive Director said that OYA targets inspired and outstanding young Nigerians creating new tracks, breaking barriers, extending frontiers, building the future and contributing to the actualisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“This year, we are taking OYA Awards a step further by embracing a youth conference, the outstanding Young Achievers’ (OYA) Conference and Awards where we will have young minds meet and discuss their successes, challenges, and the future of Nigeria and the continent. The event will also be an opportunity for young people to network and engage with one another. The conference will focus on the roles of the Nigerian youth in the actualization of SDGs 2030.
