First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Wednesday received a prestigious award from the globally respected Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
The award was in recognition of the First Lady’s commitment to end maternal and child mortality in Kenya besides her efforts to reduce mother-to-child HIV transmission under Beyond Zero.
“I am honoured because at the heart of this award is a recognition of Beyond Zero initiative”, she said in a congress held in Cape Town, South Africa
“Kenyans are very lucky to have you as the First Lady,” said Royal Collge President Lesley Ragan.
The Honorary Fellowships are highest Awards by the college and are given after rigorous vetting.
