You know how busy life can be. The mornings are a rush, lunch time is a rush, and the night time is a rush to get housework done and dinner made. Layer in kids if you have them and the desire to spend time with them, and it’s easy to convince yourself that you don’t have time for a workout.

You do. Yes, I said it. You HAVE time. You just have to find it.

Making your health a priority (as it should be) will make it a little easier to find spaces in your day to get in some exercise.

If you are laughing and shaking your head at me, I am going to tell you how. There are little things you can do to treat your body right every day.

Little Exercises Throughout the Day

Want me to let you in on a little secret? I squat. I do over 100 squats a day. How? Every time I go to the bathroom, I do 15 squats.

How easy! It takes a couple minutes (if that) out of my time, and it gets my legs and booty working!

So, you try! Sometimes I do lunges instead, and sometimes I add tricep dips on the counter, too. It’s about getting in what you can. And I know you can spare a minute or two every time you go to the bathroom.

Exercise on Your Lunch Break

If you have a job like I do, you get an hour lunch break. After you factor in transit time home, I have about 40 minutes to spare. When I am not using this time to get some housework done, I like to get my workout in.

What I do sometimes is pack my lunch and eat it at work. Then, on my lunch break, I have time to get a workout in! Luckily my 21 Day Fix workouts are half an hour, so it works perfectly!

Sometimes I like to go for a walk on my lunch break, instead. I can get about 2 to 2 1/2 miles in!

After You Put the Kids to Bed

Yep, I know you love to just sink into the couch after you put the littles to sleep, and I’m not telling you that you should stop doing that completely.

BUT, you should cut your couch potato time down by half an hour and get a workout in before it’s YOUR bedtime! Night is my favorite time to get my workouts in.

Wake Up Early

I had to say it. I know you are groaning right now because the thought is awful. Believe me, I know. I only go this route once in a blue moon because, let’s face it, I am NOT a morning person.

If you ARE, then this would be perfect for you! All you would have to do is wake up 30 minutes early and kick start your day! Honestly, I WISH this was easier for me because that is the perfect start to any day.

Well, there you have it. My simple little tricks to making time for working out. I know that you can come up with millions of different excuses, as can I, but don’t! Treat your body how it deserves to be treated and get that exercise in!
