The gist of the day isn’t the regular one, this gist is one story that sweetens my heart. There’s was a birthday celebration of one of the biggest actress in Nigeria, Africa and it was entirely a beautiful time. If you follow this gem on social media, you would know that she has an extremely private life. She is so private. So, over the weekend she celebrated her 40th birthday with some of her co-stars. It was good to see the babes who started the love scenes in Nollywood come together in a picture, come together to celebrate another woman whom we have heard doesn’t even have a good rapport with quite a number of them so you can imagine the shock on the faces of rumor mongers when they saw the pictures. You don’t have to constantly loud what you are doing, just do your thing and let those who want to spread lies keep spreading their lies.

The picture broke the internet because people were so surprised, pleased, happy to see all of them in one picture. Before the new Nollywood surfaced, these ladies paved the way, they worked heard, interpreted their scripts, made Nollywood viable for investment so yes, it was good seeing all of them in one picture. Some of you don’t even know who I am talking about and you are waiting for me to spill it, okay ooooo… Genevieve Nnaji had  her birthday party over the weekend and took a picture with Rita Dominic, Ini Edo, Omotola Jalade, Stephanie Linus {Okereke}, Uche Jumbo.  The women who paved the way for so many brilliant actors in Nollywood. Indeed, it was Iconic!
