Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”—C.G. Jung. Maybe this is just the best call for self discovery.

Self discovery is a deliberate and intentional process and it is all about lifelong learning and discovery not just about the destination.

It is a process that we take over and over again. Because what defines you at 20 or 30 might be completely different from what defines you at  50.

Self Discovery is a journey of exploration through our inner self, trying to discover who we are, our potential, our purpose in life, and what core principles are guiding us to take different paths along the way.

This is to say self discovery guides you along the way of life, helps you build sustainable relationships, help you have a healthy relationship with your environment. And most importantly it brings to your consciousness your ability, capacities and traits.

NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY C.G. JUNG SAID until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you will call It Fate. Self-discovery is bringing that unconscious part of you out, making the unconscious part of your conscious – bringing it to your awareness and acknowledgement that this part of you exist.

If it’s negative, then work on it.  if it’s positive, you build on it.  But if you fail to bring those unconscious part of you conscious, if you fail to discover you,  it will direct your life until you call It Fate.  “I accept my fate”  but that fate was due to the fact that you were not intentional and you were not deliberate in bringing that unconscious part of you out, making it conscious.

You must understand these three things on your way to self discovery.

 1.  Your human nature — emotions, your values, your likes and dislikes, choices, preference and lot more.  Everything that makes you human.

 2. Your capability or ability —Those things you do effortlessly, natural gifts and talents. That thing you can do uniquely and different from others.

 3. Capacity — the amount and volume of things you can offer, that thing that lies inside of you untapped, that thing you could do if you put much effort, time and resources.

Reflection/mediation—take a glimpse at your past, be in the present and imagine your future ( have a gaze at your vision and future) I hope this helps you in your journey on self discovery.
