This is unbelievable!

How did this happen?

When will these lawmakers stop treating us like second-class citizens?

Making us beg for rights that should rightfully be ours?

How come they can’t make a connection between the low status of women and the inability of our country to meet any of its development goals?

How come they don’t understand that the feminization of poverty will lead to the total disintegration of all our communities and rip apart the moral fabric that binds us all together?

When will we stop living under patriarchal oppression?

Nigerian women have to beg in vain for 35% representation?

I beg Auntie, make we hear word!

Big big grammar no de tire you? Wetin you expect?

See dem, big belle, big Agbada, big car, big house

Wetin dem done do for us?

Na so we tanda tititititi for sun, for rain, to vote

  1. This is so hilarious but really, enough of the talks and meetings, we really need to stand for our rights. And this doesn’t go to the women alone, it is to everyone. But can we stand as one in this Nation? I guess that is the major difficulty. I still have hope that one day this oppression will cease and a better Nation would arise.

  2. Our mumu don do ooooo. We need to take action and make sure that these women that will represent us are of valid character. No the ones that will go and loot and make the men laugh at us.

  3. This composition is just filled with a lot of serious points. A lot really has to be done, women have to be empowered and given their rightful position in governance and our society generally

  4. Despite the truth and relevance of this article, truth is most women in our society are not interested in politics or ready for such responsibilities. One only need to take cursory look at women posts on social media and how many of them are about politics, leadership and governance. For all these to happen, women really need to do more

  5. Seriously getting involve in politics as a woman is not something that encouraging. But as mummy said when we stick together then we can achieve more.

  6. Its really a strategic meeting I must confess, but am glad everyone that knows what they want are willing to be violent about it.

  7. Enough of the oppression from the government. We can’t be lobotomized, its high time we stood for that which is right. Ma’am I concur with all you said in this write up.

  8. Nigerian governance doesn’t respect women right at all. Seriously women voice need to be heard come rain, come shine. One thing our leaders have failed to realise is the fact that women are the heartbeat of every nation. Women gave birth to men that’s the bitter truth.

  9. If only these women will get into the system before the need., if only those that have been sent to represent us will do that before the need. If only they will rise up to the course of this genuinely, we will have what we want.

  10. These men should be lynched. How dare they? I was annoyed when I heard the news. After entrusting the nation in their hands, what have they brought so far? Nada!

  11. Looooll… Great Nigeria womeeeeeeeeeeennnnnn… Great!

Mumu don do o. We support our women not all of us are patriarchal, some of us have sense
