A Friend and I got talking sometimes back about ‘words’, we were discussing about the power of spoken words and how irreversible words are most times. Then, she narrated her experience to me and she didn’t mind me sharing because she wants everyone to tell from her story. So, straight up to what happened to her.

According to her, she’s been friends with this particular person for a while and even has had some intense relationship with this person, a guy to be precised. She changed her phone and unfortunately, lost most of her contacts. I think, this person must have been trying to reach her to no avail, though you could ask me where, perhaps via a call? Well, Nope! on wtsapp.{That’s a story for another day}.

Finally, she got to download wtsapp on her new phone and like a bang! she got a message from this old friend.  Of course, any reasonable person would want to know who she’s interracting with or let me use chatting with and then she asked that question. ”who is this?”

Perhaps he wanted to be play around with her, but! it was a play taken too far. You know that saying”a miss is as good as a mile”, yeah! that’s it. The play was too far.

This guy started abusing her, calling her an idiot, someone who is as bad as a sour orange. She couldn’t comprehend what was happening and she gave her  insult back. After a total range of insults he had lashed on her, he then called her to tell her it’s been a prank all this time.

Really? Shocked? Yeah! He gave excuses for his actions and said, it’s a prank. It took her a while to see through his prank and then she realised, for this long range of insults? It’s more than a prank.

This is just the full monty of the so-called friendship and like every reasonable humanbeing, That’s end of everything that ever existed between them.

Words! Insults!… They are inexcusable.

Happy weekend!

  1. When i started reading this, i was just imagining the very same thing i would have done if someone did that to me. I would certainly be angry and i’m a yoruba person, there is a saying that, it’s when you make a joke that you know the intent of the heart.

sincerely, there are no excuses for careless use of words especially for someone you owe dearly.

  2. Well, sometimes somepeople don’t mean it but as adults we need to learn to be responsible rather than being sorry. I think the lady should just forgive the person involved and let it all pass.

But cutting the friendship off, i totally stand with her.

  3. Hmmm….
I have been beaten on the ass with this o. I am so guilty of this and I Will say that, most times I don’t mean them but really, considering the effect of such on the other party is important.

learning real big on this platform

  4. Rant is here! mehn! I sincerely enjoy this rant thing. Words are really inexcusable but then, shey someone cannot play again?
I think women take words seriously than men do. That’s my take.

  5. What the hell? How can the guy call that a prank? The guy ain’t a serious chap. The girl should check at other door for someone better and realistic. Fake guy!

  6. If the lady hadn’t insulted the guy back I wouldn’t have forgiven her. Good answer, I love ladies who are sharp.

  7. They ain’t even compactible as friends and the guy is very just too fake. I love the lady’s response anyways.

  8. Lol… Something about the story just seem so funny, but it could have really been a prank and perhaps not. I just think it’s always better to know one’s friends and how far you can go pranking with them. Everyone’s got their limit when it comes to silly jokes

  9. One thing i personally dislike is the use of abusive languages. Something like that once happened to me and i wasted no time blocking the person on WhatsApp. I don’t have time for a virus to corrupt my day.
