Do-It-At-Home Facials You Should Try

By Honey Olorunsola

Sadly, many people in the world today are battling with a lot of skin imperfections. Beauty for some people is on the inside, while for some people, it’s on the outside. And by outside, I mean the facial appearance. There is a saying, “the way you dress is the way you will be addressed” is still very much relevant, but I would like to reframe the saying into “your physical appearance is the way you will be addressed.” The face makes a lot of impression on people. And that’s the more reason you should take good care of your face and even your body in general.

Acne, blackheads, whiteheads, spots, and other facial imperfections are the most common in women. This is why you see a lady spend a lot of money on just looking good. But recently, a lot of men are almost beating us to the looking-good game. No chills at all.

Let me use a few words to share a personal experience: As an individual, I  have tried a lot of things to have a glowing and flawless skin. And trust me when I say a whole lot. Some worked and some didn’t. Ladies know how much they spend on looking good and buying products (face cream, scrub, and all sorts). Now, I’m not saying these things don’t work but some of us like instant miracles. Let me share with you an instant, very effective and even cost-effective miracles: my very own almighty formula. And the good news about this is that it very much works for all types of skin. And even skin colour. It is the combo of egg and tissue paper. I am sure you might be wondering why tissue paper, just follow closely as I unveil the secrets to you.

I was really determined to put an end to all the whiteheads that have turned my face to their personal residence, as a result. I have tried different formulas. Some worked, but at a very expensive price. I eventually found out that eggs can also be used for facial treatment. Yeah, eggs can be eaten, used for hair treatment (naturalists can testify). And it can also be used for facials — all that we need is the egg white. Asides the egg white, you will also be needing a clean foundation brush (as a substitute, you can use a clean foam or your hand), a towel, a bowl, and of course, the main ingredient; tissue paper.

Below is the step-by-step procedure to a glowing face by using the wonders of the egg white:

Step 1: Be sure your face is clean, wash it with soap and clean water and then towel dry.

Step 2: Boil water to steam your face. The steaming process is needed to open up the pores.

Step 3: Break the egg carefully into a bowl extracting just the egg white.

Step 4: Use the foundation brush to apply it to your face section by section.

Step 5: While you are applying, place the tissue on it almost immediately to prevent it from drying up.

Step 6: Repeat this procedure until you cover the entire face except for the eyes.

Note: Do not apply it on brows or anywhere you have hair. This is because it is also effective in hair removal.

Step 7: Leave to dry for like 30-45 minutes.

Step 8: Once it’s fully dry, remove from down (your chin region) upwards. The removal must be in an upward motion so as to effectively remove the heads.

Step 9: After the removal, wash your face again with soap and water.

You can actually check the tissue paper to see everything that was removed. I sure bet you’ll see whiteheads, blackheads and even facial hairs and probably dirt.

Your skin will actually feel like that of a newborn child. This formula is of high advantage because it costs less, it’s easy to do, it works for all skin types, and even guys can use it. And it leaves your skin soft, clean and fresh.

This procedure can be repeated daily or even as much as you want.

I hope this helps you overcome the skin imperfections you’ve been battling with overtime because it helped me.

Share your experience with us in the comment section, as I would so love to hear from you.
