Ladies and gentlemen, I am sorry. I know I have been missing in action, I sincerely apologise. A whole lot has been happening in and around the kiosk and some have been tragic. You know I shared Amaka’s story with you and after that time we closed the kiosk for some weeks just to respect and show our solidarity to Amaka. Her children are good but there’s nothing as good as the eyes of a mother.

pray cry

I wished she had listened but… what can we say? May her gentle soul rest in peace and that man called her husband? He has repented like he claimed and he is now married. They said, he is treating this one well and that brings me to tell women this…If you die because of a man he will let another woman oversee your children and it’s not worth it at all.

So, today, I have another story here with me and very sure a lot of you have been wondering what this is about from the title of the story. I was in the kiosk sitting with some women when a certain woman in her 30s ran into the kiosk screaming for help.

I was scared and we were wondering if someone was pursuing her, so as a sharp madame, I ran in with her and locked the kiosk immediately and told everyone to be quiet. we laid still on the floor and lo and behold, some people came running pass the kiosk shouting ”where she pass”, where she dey”… I was amazed and thank God I did what I did. We laid numb for over an hour and after I was certain that no one was around we started talking but hey, we didn’t open the shop until later in the evening when we dispersed.

Dear daughter, what happened? who are those people pursuing you and what did you do to them?  She held my hands and said, Madame K, I didn’t do anything at all I just stood up for a friend and now they are after me. What is your name, I asked, My name is Joju..Olajoju, I am from Oyo state but I grew up in Lagos. I work with a school here on the mainland but then, I do after school classes a lot. One of the homes I teach, that’s where I landed into the trouble. My friend, Olabumi used to teach in that house and one day, I noticed she’s been so cold and very withdrawn, I asked her several times about what the problem was, but she didn’t respond. I knew something was wrong but I just couldn’t place my hands on it. All of a sudden she came to my room and said, the man whose son I teach is a monster.

I was amazed.  She’s been teaching his son for three months now and I will say, he pays verrrrrryyyy well but something has been happening, every time she goes to teach the boy, at a certain point, the man will send his son out, drug her drink and sleep with her and every time he comes to do such… He will sit down beside her, take her hands, with the drinks on the table and he will say,,,, Let Us Pray...

pray cry 09Whaaaaaaaaatttttttttttttttt…. We all screamed in unison. what kind of man is this? He is a monster madam K, Joju replied. Evil things are really happening in this world. What of his wife? I asked Joju, I don’t even know, the young man said he has never seen his mother all he has ever seen are different female lesson teachers. Wow! Let us draw the curtains here. We will continue next week.

It’s good to be Back!
