The Kiosk With Madame K – So, We Lost Her

By Grace Shaibu

My kiosk people….It’s good to be back. I am sure you all are wondering what happened yeah? Lots of things went down right here in the kiosk, I will definitely share with you all but it’s good to back. I missed my people.

We were discussing Amaka the last time and we will continue from where we stopped. Amaka went home that day and faced the beatings of her life. That man beat her for not getting home on time to cook his meal, according to him, he loves his wife making his meal not his maid. Amaka tried to explain why she came late and he flared up and hit her more.

What manner of man would lay his hands on his wife? Cannibal! Pure cannibal.

Amaka called her friend to explain all that happened, Matilda narrated everything to us and there we knew we cannot wait any longer but take serious action. We told Amaka to move out of the house, In fact, I practically instructed that she moved to my house but she didn’t agree she was concerned about what people and most especially ‘church’ will say about her family.

Her children see him as a loving husband and father so how will she explain.? I told her, this isn’t about the ‘How’ but the Now, she needs to move out of that house. She insisted on staying and said she will work something out. We told her to inform the pastors of her church about this. We could only advise her but the will to carry on was solely on her.

After three weeks, Amaka came to the kiosk and explained all that happened v that day vividly, she actually prepared his meal but he didn’t like the taste of the soup, that’s why he beat her. Imagine that! The taste of the soup just like that? A woman in the kiosk said, Just like that my sister, that reason is huge sef, it could be as simple as not opening the door on time, Amaka replied. Are you sure this man is  normal in his brains? I asked. I don’t even know, though I doubt it. When his kids come around, he won’t beat me but pretend to be loving then in the room he will hurt me verbally and that’s even more horrifying. Amaka! You are a smart woman, you work, you have your money why don’t you leave this man and start all over again? Speak to your children, show them the scars, they will understand and stand by you.

Madame K, I married late and now I will move out of my house? People will think I am cursed. But really, Amaka, So staying in a marriage with a man that is hitting you physically and verbally isn’t a curse? she kept Quiet. So have you told mama and papa, the pastors of your church?  I haven’t told them yet, they will be coming to the house tomorrow so I will tell them there… Should I come around for support? I asked, No, I will be fine. That’s what she told us and we closed the kiosk hoping that she will be  fine.

On that day, Papa and Mama came home and Amaka didn’t tell them what her husband has been doing, according to her, they came in praising her husband and telling her how blessed she is. So, she just couldn’t tell them the real deal. We felt so sorry for Amaka, I felt sorry and angry at the same.

This fateful day when her husband got home from work,he slapped her and accidentally, she hit her head against the wall, slipped and Died on the spot!

Why? Because, she didn’t switch the security lights off. So, we lost her! The maid ran out and called on people to see what has happened and when the news got to us…All we could say, was Amaka! Rest In Peace… I mean, the real Peace!

Of what use will a woman stay in a marriage where she’s constantly abused for no reason. Her children that she’s considering will love their lives now that she is gone. So, what’s the use of staying in the marriage that has ended up Killing her. Am so angry and sad about this… That man should be sentence to death by hanging…. Wicked man, has no compassion at all. A beast in human clothing.
Please ladies, run away from marriage where you are constantly abused o. It doesn’t worth dying for no reason. REST IN PEACE AMAKA #tears

Jesus Christ this is quite pathetic. Her hubby killed her but she orchestrated her death herself because she didn’t secure the life God has given her. She was supposed to run for her dear life the moment her hubby started using her to practice his boxing skills. R.lp Alana!

OH my sweet Jesus, I thought the innocent woman would run for her precious life but she didn’t. Na wa oooo, that her hubby is a brut who should be put behind bars forever. I pray Amaka’s death serves as a warning to those who are facing domestic violence and still choose to be quiet about it all in the name of protecting their marriages. Marriage is meant to be enjoyed not to be endured.

    Oh My God!

This happened to a close friend of mine o. We told her to leave, she didn’t and then he killed her and she left her 8months old baby behind. I hope women will learn and take timely action.

What a pity, and that is how she died and ultimately wasted her life. Imagine, some of the reasons for her staying was because of what others would say. So so pathetic, may her soul rest in peace. And as for the man, i hope justice would be served and this should serve as an eye opener to single ladies and other married women.
    Welcome back madam K.
