What is the essence of celebrating women without having an impact on the present generation of young girls who will become the women of tomorrow. The essence of having a campaign is to cut across every age and speak to the hearts of everyone invloved in engaging the change needed for a gender sane world.

In appreciating the women on world women’s day, ace pre-institution, Oxbridge College located at GRA, Ikeja organised a special timeout for female students to celebrate the international women’s day.

Erelu Bisi Adeleye – Fayemi who graced the ocassion as the guest speaker and mentor for these students told them the need to get invloved with their society, she shared with them the mystery behind her autobiography, ‘Speaking Above A Whisper’ telling the girls to make sure that they air their views, speak above whispering or murmuring. Erelu Bisi Fayemi, also told the girls, to aim high, aim beyond the standards of the society and aim at making a good change for their society.

It was an interactive session where the girls were willing to learn and unlearn, acquire more insight on skills, speaking, positive engagement and setting goals for relationships. The talented young girls made every bit of the session worth it with various interesting and intellectual activities. They performed spoken words and there was a fusion of sounds and pictures for women done by a male student in appreciating every woman in the house.

These young girls were motivated to be game changers and to be Bold for change. They were reminded by Erelu Bisi Fayemi that change only comes when one decides to speak above a whisper. Let your voice be boldly heard.
