The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) has officially presented branded sporting equipment to 48 benefitting public primary schools drawn from 44 local government areas of Kano State as part of the Fund’s intervention programme in promoting sporting activities in school children.
Speaking during the presentation, Executive Secretary/CEO NLTF Engineer Habu Ahmed Gumel stated that the distribution is a follow-up to federal government directives of reflecting the distribution exercise across the six geopolitical zones when the Vice president officially flagged-of the distribution of sports equipment to 2000 public primary schools nation-wide.
Gumel added that the distribution is in compliance with the federal government objectives to promote grassroots sport development through the application of statutory remittances from lottery proceeds, stressing that NLTF will continue to channel resources to key government projects.
